D2 OVERNIGHT TRAIN–LAO CAI– SAPA (B/L)
Arrive at Lao Cai railway station early in the morning. Depart to one of the minority markets of the region. Depending on the day of the week, this market could take place in different villages. Here different hill tribes gather to sell, buy or exchange daily life goods or handicraft. They also take the opportunity to get news from the neighboring valleys.
Lunch during excursion.
In the afternoon, drive to Sapa and check-in at the hotel. Sapa is home to over 30 ethnic minorities and of the highest peak of Vietnam, Mount Fansipan (3,143 m).
The evening is at leisure.

Note: Sapa is a town of altitude, it is not uncommon to experience temperatures below 10 degrees during the winter (November to February); only few hotels offer in-room heating.
Note: Due to the early arrival in Lao Cai, we recommend travelers to book a day use room upon arrival.

D3 SAPA (B/L)
After breakfast, early departure for a full day discovery of the minority villages located in the Sapa Valley.
First stop at Lao Chai village, home of Black H’Mong community. Then a walk toward Ta Van village (2 km) through rice fields, to visit a Giay minority village. The hike then reaches the bamboo forest of Giang Ta Chai. This part of the trip is fascinating because of its picturesque sceneries and colorful ethnic minorities such as the Red Dao.
After a rest at the edge of a waterfall, climb a small hill to meet the driver, who is waiting at Giang Ta Chai.
During the afternoon, visit Cat Cat Village before returning back to Sapa in the late afternoon.

After breakfast, stroll through Sapa Market before heading to Thac Tien Waterfalls (1.3km walk) and stop at Traurion pass to enjoy the breathtaking view.
The afternoon is at leisure until time of departure to Lao Cai to take the night train back to Hanoi (departure in the evening).
